Birmingham City Set To Finalise Move For Juventus Midfielder Mauro Camoranesi(Goal.com)

Birmingham City are close to completing a deal with Juventus for Italy international midfielder Mauro Camoranesi.

The 33-year-old, who won the 2006 World Cup with Italy, is set to end his eight season stay with the Italian giants this summer.

Vlado Borozan, the mediator in the discussions between Juventus and Birmingham, insists that a deal has been reached and all that is left to do is hammer out the final details of the move.

"The agreement for the transfer of Camoranesi has been reached,” Borozan told tuttomercatoweb.

"On Monday we'll go to England to arrange the final details, we are doing very well.

“Camoranesi said yes and is excited about this new adventure."

The mediator also believes that Birmingham are also hoping to acquire fellow World Cup champion Fabio Grosso from the Turin club.

"Birmingham also want Grosso. There is the desire to conclude this deal, now let's see if there are conditions and if there is the will of the player."

Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen will ink a deal at Liverpool within the next week, according to his agent.

Goal.com UK revealed last month that Reds boss Roy Hodgson will target Poulsen if Javier Mascherano joins Inter. After being deemed surplus to requirements by new Juve head coach Luigi Del Neri, the Denmark international is set for an imminent switch to Anfield.

Speaking to Ekstra Bladet, agent Jorn Bonnesen confirmed talks were under way between the sides and he expected the deal to be finalised within seven days.

He said: "It won't take more than a week before this is sorted out.

"It might be already in the beginning of next week. Christian Poulsen is Roy's man.

"He will be playing as defensive midfielder at Liverpool. I returned home with a good and positive impression."

クリスティアン・ポウルセンもプレミアに渡る選手のひとり。インテル移籍が確実といわれるマスチェラーノの代役として、ユベントスのインコントリスタであるポウルセン獲得にリバプールのホジソンが動いており、今週にもサインと言われている。

ユベントスはインコントリスタとしてはシソコとフェリペ・メロがおり、レジスタ役をなるマルキジオも質が高いプレーが期待できる。

怪我がちでプレーにムラがあるポウルセンを売却して、スカッドをスリム化ということなのだろう。

ただ、マルキジオが離脱した場合にレジスタ役がいなくなってしまうため、セントラルＭＦの控えが必要になる。エクダルでは力不足で、あるいはマッローネにチャンスが回ってくるのかもしれない。
