Serie A Matchday 6 Juventus 4-1 Roma @ Juventus Stadium Juventus:Andrea Pirlo 11,Arturo Erasmo Vidal 16(r),Alessandro Matri 19,Sebastian Giovinco 90 Roma:Pablo Daniel Osvaldo 69(r) Super Juve cruise past Roma(Juventus Official Website)
Juventus returned to winning ways with a magnificent 4-1 success over Roma at Juventus Stadium. The Bianconeri’s unrelenting attacking persistence was rewarded by strikes from Pirlo, Vidal and Matri in ten first-half minutes - which proved enough to stifle the challenge of Zdenek Zeman’s shell shocked visitors. The Giallorossi did, however, rally after the break and threatened to find a way back into the encounter after reducing the deficit through Osvaldo’s penalty. But Giovinco came off the bench to make the points safe and send Juventus clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A. Antonio Conte elected to tweak his selection for the team’s fifth game in two weeks, restoring Marchisio and Vucinic to the starting line-up after the duo were named amongst the substitutes on Tuesday night in Florence. Caceres stepped in for Lichtsteiner on the right-hand side, while De Ceglie replaced Asamoah on the opposite flank. Matri was preferred to Giovinco in attack. Backed by another capacity crowd in Turin, Juventus raced out the blocks at a breathtaking pace and almost took the lead when Caceres sent an inviting ball across the area which was lashed wide by Marchisio at the back post. However, Conte’s men did not have to wait too much longer to break the deadlock, with Pirlo stepping up to drill a fine free-kick into the bottom corner after Marchisio was sent tumbling by Taddei on 11 minutes. The breakthrough triggered the start of a frenzied ten minutes that extinguished any Giallorossi hopes of returning to the capital with a result. Castan’s handball in the box saw Vidal presented with the opportunity to double the hosts’ lead from the spot. And the in-form Chilean seized the chance with both hands, beating Stekelenburg with a well-placed penalty into the corner. The visitors were well and truly put to the sword when Matri sprang the offside trap to perfection and tucked home to send Juventus Stadium into delirium. And it could have been even worse for Zeman’s men as Marchisio rattled the bar with an audacious attempt from an acute angle, before Vucinic was next to strike the frame of the goal following good build-up play from Matri. Not even the half time break could interrupt the Bianconeri’s momentum, with Vucinic testing Stekelenburg’s reflexes with a swerving drive shortly after the restart. Matri was next to go close after being found unmarked in the area, only to see the Dutch goalkeeper claw his dinked attempt away to safety. Seeking a reaction from his side, Zeman introduced Destro and Perrotta at the expense of Totti and Tachtsidis. The substitutes added extra vitality to the Giallorossi and helped them swing the balance of play back in their favour. The increased pressure eventually paid off when Osvaldo kept his cool to send Buffon the wrong way from the spot with just under 20 minutes remaining. But the Bianconeri, galvanised by the introductions of Asamoah and Giovinco, stood firm and wrapped up the points at the death. Finding himself in unfamiliar territory down the right wing, Barzagli drove forward and laid on a perfect pass for Giovinco, who rounded Stekelenburg before tapping the ball home.

Serie A Matchday 5 Fiorentina 0-0  Juventus  @ Artemio Franchi Honours even in Florence(Juventus Official Website)
Juventus extended their unbeaten Serie A run to 44 games courtesy of a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Fiorentina. The Bianconeri came up against a home side in search of revenge following March’s 5-0 demolition at the Artemio Franchi and were required to withstand heavy Viola pressure for extended periods of the game. But the visitors dug in to claim a deserved draw and go three points clear of second-placed Napoli. Antonio Conte went into the encounter with five changes from Saturday’s home success over Chievo. Barzagli, Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo and Giovinco returned to the starting line-up, while Quagliarella’s hot streak of goalscoring form saw him maintain his striking berth. Marchisio and Vucinic were named amongst the substitutes. A relatively even opening sparked into life on nine minutes when Giovinco had the game’s first meaningful effort on goal. The striker wriggled free of his marker to dispatch a strong left-footed strike but saw his effort flash narrowly wide of the post with Viviano at full stretch. The visitors then suffered a nervy moment when Vidal’s sliding challenge on Pasqual drew vociferous penalty appeals from the home faithful. The Chilean’s sliding tackle, however, was timed to perfection and referee Tagliavento waved play on. The Viola continued to press and almost broke the deadlock when Jovetic headed Ljajic’s free-kick against the woodwork with five minutes remaining of the first half. Two minutes later Ljajic broke free of Barzagli to go one-on-one with Buffon but dragged his shot wide of the target from a promising position. Fiorentina maintained their high rhythm in the second period and went close through Roncaglia’s effort that whistled just wide of the upright on 53 minutes. Jovetic was next to try his luck but failed to trouble Buffon with a header that was always rising. Carrera opted to add extra muscle by introducing Vucinic and Pogba in place of Quagliarella and Pirlo. The Frenchman, in particular, acquitted himself well in the heat of the battle, patrolling the middle of the park with a maturity defying his years. After a combative final ten minutes, littered with fouls and frequent stoppages, Tagliavento’s whistle brought an end to the clash and confirmed a useful point for Juventus. The Bianconeri will be satisfied with a share of the spoils from a notoriously tricky venue and will now look ahead to Saturday’s home encounter with Roma.

Serie A Matchday 4 Juventus 2-0 Chievo @ Juventus Stadium Juventus:Fabio Quagliarella 64,69 Quagliarella double downs Chievo(Juventus Official Website)
A second-half brace from Fabio Quagliarella was enough to maintain the Bianconeri’s 100 per cent start to the championship season and halt a winless run against Chievo stretching back to 2009. The visitors have represented somewhat of a bogey side for Juventus in recent times and it appeared history was set to repeat itself as Sorrentino’s heroics between the sticks kept the hosts at bay for 64 minutes. But Wednesday’s goal hero Quagliarella hit a quick fire double to see off the Gialloblu and bag Antonio Conte’s men their fourth straight Serie A victory. Five changes were made from the side that clinched a 2-2 draw against Chelsea in midweek. Lucio, Isla and Pogba made their Serie A debuts in the black and white stripes at the expense of Barzagli, Lichtsteiner and Pirlo, while Giaccherini and Quagliarella were handed starting roles in place of Vidal and Giovinco. The Bianconeri began the better of the two sides and fashioned their first goalscoring chance inside the opening four minutes when Marchisio darted down the right hand side and clipped in a cross for Quagliarella. The frontman managed to hit the target with a well-placed header but found Sorrentino right behind it. Moments later, Quagliarella had his second opportunity to break the deadlock and was unfortunate to see Sorrentino pull off a fine one-handed save after latching on to Giaccherini’s clever through ball and striking a first time left-footed shot on goal. With the Gialloblu retreating further inside their own half, Vucinic decided to take matters into his own hands and embark on a fine solo run towards goal. After bursting forward and leaving several Chievo bodies trailing in his wake, the Montenegrin almost caught the Gialloblu number one unawares with a delicately chipped effort that sailed just wide of the upright. The Montenegrin then thought he had put the Bianconeri in front when he tapped Isla’s cross home from close range on 26 minutes. However, the linesman was quick to rule his effort out for offside. Two minutes later, Sorrentino’s fingertips were stung once again. This time it was Giaccherini who connected with Asamoah’s inviting cross, only to see the goalkeeper fling himself to the ground to make a spectacular stop. Juventus upped the pressure in the second half and it seemed to be only a matter of time before they found the opener their enterprising play richly deserved. But they could be forgiven for thinking it was going to be one of those nights after Sorrentino pulled off yet another superb save on 62 minutes, miraculously clawing Chiellini’s header away from goal when it seemed the ball was odds on to cross the line. However, with substitute Vidal providing added vitality in midfield, the Bianconeri finally edged their noses in front two minutes later. Quagliarella executed a fine acrobatic effort to divert a corner towards goal and, despite managing to get a hand to it, the sheer power of the strike made it impossible for Sorrentino to prevent the ball from wriggling over the line. Having finally breached the stubborn visitors rearguard, Juventus gained even greater control of the game and doubled their tally shortly afterwards. Asamoah played the ball square for Quagliarella who strolled past the challenge of Dainelli before finding the corner with a neatly-placed finish. The two-goal frontman was handed the standing ovation his performance merited when he made way for Bendtner to make his debut with just over ten minutes remaining. In truth, the visitors failed to seriously trouble Buffon throughout the 90 minutes, and Juve saw out the remainder of the encounter by stroking the ball around comfortably. Conte will be more than satisfied after his vastly changed starting line-up gelled instantly to put Chievo to the sword – with the likes of Lucio and Pogba staking their claim for a role in Tuesday’s away clash against Fiorentina.

UEFA Champions League Group E Chelsea 2-2 Juventus @ Stamford Bridge Chelsea:Oscar 31,33 Juventus:Arturo Erasmo Vidal 38,Fabio Quagliarella 80 Juve deny Chelsea and Oscar winning start(uefa.com)
Chelsea FC 2-2 Juventus Juve substitute Fabio Quagliarella capped a two-goal comeback, striking ten minutes from time to snatch victory away from their Oscar-inspired hosts. Fabio Quagliarella struck a late equaliser to share equal billing with Chelsea FC's Oscar, who had scored twice on his first Blues start to put the 2012 UEFA Champions League winners in sight of another opening-day victory. Quagliarella, a Juventus substitute, took advantage of some uncertain defending to earn his team a point after Arturo Vidal had reduced the arrears near the end of an exhilarating first half. It marks the first time since 2007 that the London side have not begun their group stage campaign with three points. With Fernando Torres operating as a lone striker, Chelsea did not give Gianluigi Buffon too much cause for concern in the opening half-hour. They produced some nice approach play, but generally Juventus's three central pillars looked solid. At the other end the visitors, back among Europe's elite for the first time since the 2009/10 season, took heart from the movement of Mirko Vučinić. It was Claudio Marchisio, however, who came closest when Leonardo Bonucci's long pass sent him clear, Petr Čech dashing off his line to smother the shot. A loose ball from Branislav Ivanović then almost presented a goal to Juventus. Vidal found Vučinić yet he sliced his attempt into the side netting. The Italian champions should have been one ahead; instead, within four minutes, they found themselves 2-0 down as Oscar, starting in a blue shirt for the first time after five games on the bench, took centre stage. His first, following Eden Hazard's incursion from the left, owed a great deal to the diversion it took off Bonucci's boot. His second was pure class, however, skilfully taking the ball away from two defenders before bending a powerful drive high beyond Buffon's left hand. It was a sensational couple of minutes for the Brazilian and his team. The Stamford Bridge crowd rose to salute him but were then silenced as Juventus hit back. Marchisio brought Vidal into contention and with Oscar-like skill he made room before burying a low left-footed strike. The tempo barely relented in the second half, David Luiz moving in quickly to dispossess Marchisio when danger loomed. Before that Ivanović and Frank Lampard both prompted saves from Buffon. Chelsea appeared to be holding on yet then failed to clear their lines, allowing Marchisio time to feed Quagliarella who shot beneath Čech. The substitute then almost won it for the Turin side as he turned to graze the bar with a curling left-foot effort.

Serie A Matchday 3 Genoa 1-3 Juventus @ Stadio Luigi Ferraris

Vucinic, here’s our top player(Juventus Official Website)

Two assists and a goal in just 23 minutes. That on its own could tell the story of Mirko Vucinic’s performance against Genoa. But the statistics alone don’t do justice to just how devastating the Montenegrin’s display was. Mirko dominated the game, gave confidence to his team-mates and had the Rossoblu defence in disarray with his sheer presence. The definition of a “top player” - all over the papers in recent weeks - is almost an affront to him. Vucinic is a true champion but being the leader he is, he rightly shared the plaudits with his colleagues. “We changed the game as a unit, it wasn’t just us guys that came off the bench. If one player doesn’t move, then neither does the team, we were static in the first half and yet we bounced back by playing with a different approach. The penalty? Sebastian offered it to me, I asked him if he wanted to take it, but he let me have it. Now we focus on Chelsea which will be another key match.”

The 29-year-old, who spent the 2011/12 campaign with Cesena, will this season feature for the Romanian outfit.

(Lokomotiv Moscow Official Website)

Good luck Alex!(Juventus Official Website)

Alessandro Del Piero has agreed a deal to join Australian outfit Sydney FC.

The striker, who rounded off his glittering Bianconeri experience in style by lifting the Scudetto at Juventus Stadium, will now continue his career with a new adventure on the other side of the world.

Juventus Football Club and all its supporters wish Alessandro all the very best in his exciting move Down Under.

SYDNEY, IL FUTURO É OGGI(Alessandro Del Piero Official Website)

E l’ho trovata a Sydney.

Bendtner completes Juventus switch(Juventus Official Website)

Nicklas Bendtner has completed a move to Juventus after the club agreed terms with Arsenal for the player’s services.

The 24-year-old Danish international joins on a season-long loan with the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

Serie A Matchday 2 Udinese 1-4 Juventus @ Friuli

Giovinco inspires Juve to victory in Udine(Juventus Official Website)

Juventus continued their strong start to the 2012/13 campaign with a commanding 4-1win over Udinese at the Stadio Friuli.

In truth, the hosts, who were gunning for redemption after crashing out of the Champions League qualifying stages in midweek, were never in the encounter as Antonio Conte’s men showed no mercy by rifling four past their opponents.

A Vidal penalty set the Bianconeri on their way before Vucinic doubled the lead on the stroke of half time. Giovinco’s second-half brace made the points safe.

For the trip to Udine, Buffon and Chiellini were handed their first league appearances of the season after missing last weekend’s opening 2-0 victory over Parma through injury. New signing Bendtner remained behind in Vinovo to work on his fitness, with Vucinic and Giovinco were handed another chance to impress in attack.

The diminutive frontman - making his second Serie A league start after returning from a two-year stint in Parma - looked lively from the off, linking up well with Vucinic and dropping deep to give the central midfield trio plenty of options.

It took just 13 minutes for Giovinco’s intelligent movement to be rewarded. Pirlo received the ball and picked out his forward burst with a pinpoint raking pass from deep. Under pressure from Brkic charging off his line, the striker attempted to divert a header goalwards but was sent to ground by the shot-stopper’s strong challenge. Penalty to Juventus. Udinese down to ten men.

After seeing last weekend’s spot-kick thwarted by Parma goalkeeper Mirante, Vidal claimed the ball and stepped up to make amends. And the Chilean midfielder fully atoned for his miss by crashing an unstoppable strike beyond the grasp of Padelli to put his team a goal to the good.

The early breakthrough appeared to take the sting out of the hosts, who struggled to cope with the Bianconeri’s intricate passing and movement.

Goal number two provided the perfect example of such play, with Vucinic curling an unstoppable effort into the corner after a flowing build up involving Vidal and Asamoah.

After Giovinco blazed over following the restart, a spell of heavy pressure culminated in the visitors notching their third goal. Marchisio was given time and space to crack in a left-footed shot from outside the area and Giovinco was on hand to sweep the ball home after Padelli fumbled the midfielder’s strike.

Urged on by an animated Massimo Carrera, Juventus refused to settle for their comfortable advantage and were ruthless in their pursuit of further goals.

And the icing on the cake arrived inside the final twenty minutes when Giovinco bagged his own personal double by rifling a crisp effort into the bottom corner following good work from Pirlo.

Udinese grabbed a late consolation when Lazzari prodded home from close range after a rare moment of hesitation in the Bianconeri defence.

But the goal conceded failed to tarnish a superb afternoon’s work as Juventus came through a difficult test with flying colours.
