Juventus Set Sights On Real Madrid Striker Karim Benzema - Report(Goal.com)

Italian giants Juventus are plotting a move to sign striker Karim Benzema from Real Madrid in January, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Bianconeri have identified the Frenchman as their ideal striker and will make a move when the transfer window reopens in just under four months' time.

The 22-year-old struggled to adapt in his first season in La Liga and is not assured of a starting place in Jose Mourinho's line-up this term.

Juventus sporting director Beppe Marotta is said to be a key player in the transfer as he signed Antonio Cassano from Real Madrid in a similar situation when the Italy international was struggling at the Bernabeu.

However, Madrid have just two out-and-out strikers in their squad and might not be keen in letting the French hitman leave in the winter.
