Avalanche-like Juventus, Chiusa Pesio in celebration(Juventus Official Website)
An afternoon of celebration, complete with the national anthem played before the kick-off and a storm of goals shortly after, with over 6,000 fans in attendance in the stands of the Stadio Comunale of Chiusa Pesio going into ecstasies over Juve, with the Bianconeri increasingly in control of Antonio Conte's ideas and schemes.
For the sixth pre-season friendly match against a Cuneo team newly promoted in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione, Conte proposes an attacking couple with Matri and Del Piero, and Pirlo at the direction of the midfield alongside Marchisio.
Juventus are immediately the lords of the pitch and the first shoot already arrives at minute 3: Pasquato is brilliantly assisted by Matri but his shot is saved by the watchful Pascarella. Same fate, reversed fields, for Crisitini's shoot at minute 9, vanished by Buffon. On the counter-attack, here comes the first goal of the match: Pirlo squares the ball towards Krasic who arrives on the goal-line and crosses with surgical precision for an easy header by Matri.
At minute 18, the second goal is saved by Pascarella who opposes himself against the right-footed shoot by Pasquato and again some moments later against the first intention-shoot by Matri assisted by Krasic who is very perky and often into the core of the action.
The 2-0 comes at minute 34 and is signed by Marchisio who shoots from the edge of the box with his left foot at the angle of the net, leaving the Cuneo goalkeeper hopeless.
Three chances in a minute do not lead to the third goal, but unleash roars from the stands: at minute 38 Chiellini's clear header is rejected on the line by Sentinelli; then both Krasic and Del Piero try from outside the box, yet respectively hitting the pole and the crossbar.
At the beginning of the second half, Conte changes eight players and Mirko Vucinic makes his first appearance in the black and white shirt. The Montenegrin already introduces himself to his new fans at minute 5, with a frightening right footed-shot exiting by inches away from the pole and, just seven minutes later, his diagonal shot has no better luck. However, at minute 16, here's his first goal in black and white: Ruggiero crosses from the left, Vucinic stops with his chest and volleys the ball into the net, leaving no chance to Negretti who substituted for Pascarella at the beginning of the second half.
Spectacular fourth goal for the Bianconeri at minute 18, with Pasquato hitting under the intersection of the poles with a brilliant shoot from outside the box. Ten minutes later, Vucinic plays the role of the assist-man by serving Toni who eludes the offside and for the World Champion it's a child's play to score face to face with the goalkeeper.
A magnificent action leads to the sixth goal: Toni makes a wall pass to Vucinic in the middle of the pitch, the Montenegrin sees Pirlo coming and assists him, Pirlo in turn assists Toni who ends the action he started by putting the ball behind Negretti.
The former Bayern player is rampant and, at minute 37, he serves himself with a hat-trick by using one of his trademarks: an unstoppable header, again assisted by a ubiquitous Vucinic. The Montenegrin is awarded a clear penalty kick at minute 41, after a perfect one-two with Toni. Ruggiero goes to the spot and precisely shoots under the crossbar for the goal of the final 8-0. There is still time, however, for an an overwhelming sprint of Vucinic on the left, but the ball rolls over the goal-line.
Then, the final whistle and the standing ovation of the audience of Chiusa, enthusiastic about this Juventus.
