Juventus have been described as a "strange" team with "no quality" as Vincenzo Chiarenza questioned their policy in an exclusive interview with Goal.com Italia.
The former youth team coach who won a Scudetto, two Viareggio tournaments, the Coppa Italia Primavera, and two Supercoppe Italiana feels the club is currently going backwards, and not heading to times of glory.
"They let Davide Lanzafame and Raffaele Palladino go for Luca Toni... it's a strange operation. Very strange," he told Goal.com Italia.
"Both were potential strikers, especially Lanzafame who was a striker with the Juventus youth and then played under Antonio Conte as a forward with Bari.
"And let's not even speak about Sebastian Giovinco and Palladino.
"I don't think Juventus will obtain great results. They lack quality in all departments. They just thought about quantity of physical strength, not quality.
"There is no technique or mental quality. Players can only play for Juventus if they have their heads screwed on, otherwise..."
Not all hope is lost though.
"They just need a year where they can win something big and then everything will change."
