The future of Juventus coach Ciro Ferrara is still up in the air after some poor recent performances, and Guus Hiddink has reportedly been lined up to take the helm of the Bianconeri.
However, Ferrara declared that he is not set for the chop and, though he realises his mistakes, he believes that it is all part of the learning process for a young coach.
"It's not a complete disaster as some would have you believe. This isn't my farewell press conference," he declared to Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"I'm not looking for excuses, I'm very determined. I'm here to do my job well and improve myself. Of course I've made some mistakes, but this is part of the job.
"Hiddink? It's very similar to the Russian climate right now... I'm not worried and I'm happy to hear the club's statements."
The Old Lady face Catania this weekend, and Ferrara believes that they must pick up all three points if they are to continue competing for the scudetto.
"We're ready, I have full confidence in my players. The opposition's place in the table doesn't interest me. We respect Catania, but we want the three points.
"These sort of games don't leave me calm, it's a lose-lose situation. In order to fight at the top we have to win these games."

Juventus has categorically denied rumours of news from England with regards to a presumed interest in Guus Hiddink. The club never considered any coach since there is maximum faith in Ciro Ferrara who is at the centre of the sports project.
