A throw of his right fist against a dressing room table has cost Antonio Chimenti a broken hand, and Juventus the loss of their third goalkeeper to injury in a month.

After Gianluigi Buffon and Alex Manninger, Chimenti was also added to the growing injury list after letting his frustration out on a table.

"I was really nervous and when I went into the dressing room I punched a table. Unfortunately I fractured my hand," he told Juventus Channel.

Both Buffon and Manninger have been out with thigh injuries, but there is hope to see them back for the weekend. Manninger is expected to return in place of Chimenti against Napoli on Thursday.

"Both of them should be back for Thursday," said Chimenti.

"I am sorry I will not be there, but I am happy both Buffon and Manninger will return."

Chimenti was in goal during the 1-0 loss to Sampdoria. He made a number of good saves before being beaten by an Antonio Cassano strike from 30 yards.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is set to return from a thigh injury in the near future, according to his agent Silvano Martina, but will not be rushed back after a knock to second-choice shot stopper Alex Manninger.

"Gigi is very annoyed, because they are groundless," he concluded.

Buffon is Italy's undisputed first-choice goalkeeper for the upcoming World Cup and has made 21 starts in Serie A this season, with five clean sheets.
