Juventus and Goodyear renew partnership(Juventus Official Website)
Juventus and Goodyear have confirmed the renewal of their partnership for season 2012/13.
The pneumatics company - who will continue to operate as one of the club’s main sponsors - has also launched a road safety campaign in which Bianconeri defender Giorgio Chiellini plays an active role.
The Azzurri international lent his voice to ‘Goodhero’, an educational cartoon providing advice and guidance for road users.
“We’re very happy to have renewed our partnership with the Champions of Italy,” said Luca Crepaccioli, Chairman and CEO of Goodyear Dunlop Italy. “We hope their success continues in the next championship and Champions League campaigns. It’s even more pleasing that a champion like Giorgio Chiellini wished to make his own contribution to our project. We’re aiming to increase road safety, using his participation to reinforce the importance of a responsible culture, above all amongst the younger population.”
“I’m very happy to have been able to contribute to the Goodyear project,” responded Giorgio. “I immediately accepted the proposal to play a role in the cartoon because I think that road safety is a very important issue which involves everyone on a daily basis. You can never know enough about it.”
“Creating a culture which aims to increase road safety is a commendable cause. The idea of doing the voice-over and meeting professionals like Claudia Gerini, Claudio Santamaria and Guglielmo Scilla was a little daunting, but it was a different experience which I enjoyed immensely.”
