Juventus hold preliminary talks with Louis van Gaal - report(Goal.com)

Juventus have held preliminary discussions with Louis van Gaal in regards to the Dutch tactician taking over as the club's head coach in the summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The club have endured another tough campaign with last night's 2-2 draw against Chievo all but extinguishing their hopes of Champions League football next season.

Current coach Luigi Del Neri looks likely to be shown the door in the summer with a number of high-profile coaches being linked with the club.

However, the Rome-based publication are reporting that Fabio Paratici, an assistant to Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has held initial talks with Van Gaal's representative.

The 59-year-old coach was sacked by Bayern Munich last month after a poor campaign although Juventus are likely to be attracted by the success the Dutchman has achieved during 20 years of management.

Van Gaal has won domestic titles in his native Netherlands, Spain and Germany while also adding a Champions League trophy to his collection with Ajax in 1995.

Roberto Mancini and Luciano Spalletti have both been linked with the vacancy although both are said to be unwilling to leave their current clubs, Manchester City and Zenit St Petersburg respectively. Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri has also been linked with the position.

Juventus have two Serie A games left this season with victories over Parma and Napoli still unlikely to be enough to see Del Neri hang on to his job.

とはいえ、なぜファン・ハールなのかは疑問が残る。アヤックス、バルセロナ、バイエルンで好成績を残した監督とはいえ、フロントや選手とかならずトラブルになったのも事実。対話型の監督ではなく、独裁者として振る舞う。バイエルンはチームの和を崩すとして解任したばかり。そして、バイエルンはチャンピオンズリーグの権利を手にするのがやっとだったのだ。

ユベントスの監督が誰になるかはわからないが、ラファエル・ベニテスやファン・ハールといった選手と対話をしないタイプの監督だけは勘弁してもらいたい。対話ができるだけではチームは再建できないが、タクティカルに優れているだけでも、チームは自滅する可能性があるのだ。

フロント、ジュゼッペ・マロッタはしっかりと見極めてチームを作ってほしい。

Calciopoli Trial Adjourned After Chelsea Coach Carlo Ancelotti Didn't Turn Up, Manchester City Boss Roberto Mancini Summoned - Report(Goal.com)

The sixth hearing into the Calciopoli trial in Naples has been adjourned until Tuesday, April 27, after Chelsea coach Carlo Ancelotti and others failed to show because of the European flying restrictions in place.

Judge Casoria closed proceedings following a brief hearing that lasted less than an hour in which plans for the next session were outlined.

She expects to see Ancelotti next week, and summoned both Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini and Carabinieri inspector Salvagno, who was part of the investigating team into the 2006 trial.

It must be noted that both Ancelotti and Mancini will only be present in court as witnesses to give evidence in relation to their time as coaches of Milan and Inter respectively. Neither are accused of anything.

Pierluigi Pairetto's legal team was expected to deposit further phonecalls, but they were unable to. Casoria established that in a hearing slated for May 4, the court will appoint Roberto Porta, the man tasked with transcripting all the 74 calls presented last week by Moggi's legal team, and the further 20 calls that will be deposited by Pairetto's lawyers.

Casoria confirmed the calls presented last week, and the further 20 that Pairetto will hand over, are to be considered a definitive list.

Also, attorney Giuseppe Narducci is keen to obtain an interview Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini gave a local radio station in which he is alleged to have admitted to asking for a specific referee.

As those at the hearing left, Luciano Moggi was surrounded outside the court building by journalists and around 50 Juventus fans.

The former Juventus director again took a swipe at the club's current leadership.

"Ask Juventus why they are not defending themselves, and why is it just me who is defending them?" he told Sky News Italia.

The case continues.

Cesare Prandelli's new commitment to Fiorentina has rocked Juve's plans, while Roberto Mancini (Manchester City), Rafa Benitez (Liverpool) and Laurent Blanc (Bordeaux) all appear settled at their respective clubs.

What is making Juve directors even more uncomfortable is the success of former Juve coaches and officials around Europe.

Claudio Ranieri and Gian Paolo Montali are now dreaming of winning the Scudetto with Roma, while Didier Deschamps has just won the French Cup with Marseille. All three Juve identities left the club under it's current board.

選手がいないわけではない。イタリア代表には８人送り込んでいる。イタリアの中核を担っているといっておかしくない状況なのだ。しかし、そのことが相手のモチベーションに火をつけてるのだから皮肉としかいいようがない。

JUVE CRISIS: Agent says Juventus need Liverpool boss Benitez(Tribalfootball)

Italian agent Claudio Pasqualin can understand Juventus moving for Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.

Juve were again linked with the Spaniard in yesterday's English press.

And Pasqualin told TMW: "They (Juve) need a man of football, they need to give the keys to the sports center and operation in its entirety. From morning to night. I think of a man like Benitez.

"The Spanish coach, if given the chance, would drag the entire club toward tremendous growth. Names aside, however, you need a figure like that.

"Again, a real coach, with a very strong personality."

ベニテスは有能な監督かもしれない。強いパーソナリティを持った監督であるのも間違いない。しかし、彼は金食い虫でもある。バレンシアの経営を傾け、リバプールも負債に喘いでいる。そこまでしてもたらされる結果が勝利ならいいが、今のリバプールは下降線を辿っている。

ユベントスの現実的な路線はジェンティーレかコンテではないのか。戦術的に正しい解答を導き出せる監督でなければ意味がないと思うのだが。
