Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal is excited about his move to Juventus.

The Chilean is now only a medical away from signing for Juventus after Bayer accepted a €10.5m offer on Wednesday.

“I’m enthusiastic about this new opportunity that has been handed to me,” he said in Santiago as he prepared to board a flight for Italy.

“Juventus are a club who are being reconstructed with the objective of winning the League and qualifying for Europe.

“I’m happy, this is a great step for me, this is the most important move of my career which will allow me to play for one of the greatest clubs in Europe.”

The 24-year-old joined Bayer Leverkusen in 2007 after a season with Colo Colo in his homeland.

“My experience in Germany will be very useful for me because it is a championship that is tactically similar to that in Italy,” he added.

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Vidal open to Juventus move(Tribalfootball)

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Arturo Vidal is open to moving to Juventus.

The Chilean international is expected to be sold this summer seeing as his contract with his present club expires next June.

“You’ll have to ask Juventus director general Beppe Marotta about the chances of my client joining them,” agent Fernando Felicevich said.

“All I can say is that in a meeting that I had with him two weeks ago, I told him that Vidal was ready to transfer to Juventus.”

The South American central midfielder is valued at around €12m given his current contract situation.

“I can’t talk about the fee with newspapers,” Felicevich continued. “But Bayer’s Rudi Voller is an intelligent and positive negotiator.

“It has to also be noted that there is still some time to go until August 31.”
